Tourmania, a leading Destination Management Company (DMC), sought to develop an innovative new product that would combine their popular Bosporus cruise with a multilingual self-guiding solution. Their goal was to offer clients a seamless, immersive experience while onboard the cruise ferry, enhancing the overall value of the tour.
Solution/Outcome
Vox partnered with Tourmania to create a special combination package that integrates the Bosporus cruise with exclusive multilingual self-guided content. This package, designed to deliver added value to customers, is now available for purchase online, through OTAs, and via local resellers in Istanbul. By offering this unique product, Tourmania has successfully provided an enhanced experience that enriches the cruise journey, making it more engaging and accessible to a diverse international audience. The exclusive content and added value service provided by Vox have set a new standard for cruise experiences on the Bosporus.
The Result
With guides speaking into a Vox transmitter pre-set to its own unique frequency, voice commentary was clearly heard by passengers within a 200-metre radius, allowing each tour to flow in a fluid motion and removing the need for the guides to raise their voice. Princess Cruises and their passengers were highly satisfied with their Kirkwall experience. With this increase in customer satisfaction Prince Cruises decided to include Vox Tour Guide Systems in their 2018 UK programme. European Cruise Service now have included the Vox Tour Guide System as an inexpensive, added-value option to complement any future client shore excursion programmes.
